Power door will begin close/open only if the door handle is pulled

Power door will begin close/open only if the door handle is pulled and kept for at least a second. Problem appears to be mechanical and not electrical. I maybe wrong. If the button is pressed or if the handle is only pulled and released instantly, the door makes an effort to move and then gives up leading me to believe that it is some kind of jamming in the bottom area. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hello,

It sounds like it is a sensing problem or the motor is pulling too much amperage. Since these problems are mostly solved by changing the motor I would start there.

Here is a diagram (Below) that will help you get started.
