I KNOW LITTLE ABOUT YOUR RIG.I'M MORE INTO CARBURETED JEEPS AND SORTA ONLY DEAL WITH NEWER STUFF, "WHEN I MUST" (WIFE'S RIG AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS)
I JUMPED IN WITH "something-anything". AS I AM A JEEP GUY, AND YOUR QUESTION WAS DRIFTING ON DOWN THE LIST
MOST OF THE TIME WHEN I HAVE SEEN (OR EXPERIENCED) CHEROKEE DOOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, IT HAS BEEN IN THE RUBBER BETWEEN THE DOOR AND CAB (AS YOU MENTIONED)
A WIRE BREAKS, AND WHEN PULLED BACK TOGETHER, IT IS TOO SHORT TO REACH (LIKE IT WAS PULLED WAY, WAY, TAUT AT THE FACTORY. SOLDERING IN A SHORT JUMPER IS THE FIX FOR THAT SITUATION.
'COURSE YOU SAID YOU CHECKED ALL OF THAT. MAYBE IT COULD BE THAT COMPLICATED, YET SORTA USELESS SECURITY SYSTEM THAT THEY MADE YOU PAY FOR IN THE PRICE OF THAT RIG INITIALLY? (IF SOMEONE WANTS IN YOU RIG. THEY WILL GET IN, UNLESS YOU LEFT THE ROTTWEILER IN THERE!)
SO, HERE'S MY LAST DITCH POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
UN-JEWG YOUR BATTERY FOR A FEW MINUTES. MAYBE SOME OF THAT CYBER STUFF WILL RESET. THEN HOOK IT BACK UP AND GIVE 'ER A TRY
I HAVE ALSO HEARD (HEARD. Not read. Not tried) THAT YOU OPEN EVERY DOOR AND MANUALLY LOCK THEM. THEN CLOSE THEM. THEN. OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR, WITH THE KEY. IT'LL RESET SOMETHING, ON SOME VEHICLES
TO SORTA KEEP ME FROM BEING "BLAMED/ THOUGHT BADLY ABOUT" FOR ANYTHING. IF THOSE DON'T WORK. NOTHING GOT HURT. ALL IT COST YOU WAS A LITTLE TIME!
KEEP US POSTED ON PROGRESS. OTHER GUYS HERE, DO JUMP IN AND HELP FROM TIME TO TIME
