Car start moving in second gear and once I get rolling I can shift into drive and it seems fine. But if I stop for like a stop sign it just revs like it's in neutral.I can hear a whining when I put it in drive sitting still. Just changed the filter and the fluid level is good.

Good afternoon,

If the fluid is full and the filter is new, the whine is coming from the front pump.

Does it shift through all the gears?

Sounds like you have an internal failure.

The transmission will have to be removed and inspected.
