how to remove torque converter from transmission when stuck in housing

Hi there,

The torque converter should just lift out, but if it is bound up on the splines due to low oil overheating, you will have to fashion a slide hammer or or brace to get some purchase on and attach to the T/C to drive plate mountings, this may give you extra purchase, if in doubt hand it over to a trans shop as you don't want to damage the pump or drive with to much force.
