Can anyone tell me what a "fuel trim malfunction' is?

That is a mixture adjustment problem. Have the Oxygen sensors ever been replaced?

The O2sensors have not been changed to my knowledge. The light has been off for a while now. I ran a couple of bottles of fuel system cleaner through and that seemed to help a number of nagging annoyances.
