Yesterday morning, I found a significant amount of water pooled in the rear passenger foot well. The care was parked in my driveway which is steep. I initially thought the water had leaked in through the sunroof because it had been left open in the louvered position (rear slanted up). There was no evidence on the seats, console or interior side panels that it had leaked on them. I have left this open in the rain before with no leakage. I wet-vac'd the water out and thorougly dryed the carpet and floor mats (I noticed that the front passenger side was also damp). When I got in my car this morning there was a similar sized pool of water in the same spot. The sunroof was closed this time. I immediatley checked the passenger front and noticed water dripping slowly from the 2 fastener locations for the plastic molding cover. This evening I wet-vac'd the carpets again and removed the plastic molding/glove compartment. There are water droplets on the underside of a large black electric component (I assume the heat/ac fan). It doesn't appear to leaking anywhere above this area. What could be causing this water leak? The water is clear and no odor (yet).

Suspect faulty heater core. To temporarily fix the issue, bypass the heater core with an additional piece of hose. To permanentally fix the leak, you will need to replace the heater core unit.
