I have a 2001 Audi A6 4.2L Quattro. Recently the AC has not been working properly. Now it is blowing hot air, and my temp gauge moving toward the H mark. Temp warning light indicator came on. Why is it overheating? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi derkanstorff,

When overheating occurs, the compressor would be cut off to prevent damage and this would cause the non cooling issue. Your main problem should be the overheating.

Did you check the coolant level in radiator?
Are the cooling fans working?
