I have a Audi A6 (1999 - 1.9TDI)

It is leaking fluid underneath the car, the fluid seems to be coming out from under the passenger seat. The fludi is leaking outside the car

I have check all inside the car - No leaks, nothing wet
I have check the engine, thermostat etc and still no leaks.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Hi there,
This sounds as if it is the A/C drain tube draining excess moisture from the evaporator, part of the function of the A/C system is that it dehumidifies the air as it is cooled, this excess moisture is expelled via a drain tube, ask your mechanic to verify that this is what you are seeing.

Does this mean the AC needs re-gassing?

No not at all, if this is the A/C drain that you are seeing, this is a normal part of the cycle, the more humid the weather the more it will drip.

The reason im concerned is it winter. Ish in the uk and its dripping like a tap.

Obviously when you turn the car off it continues for a little while then stop.

If as you say its working fine could it be another issue?

Thanks for all the help so far

If it continues to drip even with the A/c not working, then you may have a small leak with in the heater core, so it would be prudent to have the cooling system pressure tested just for piece of mind, do this next,
