battery went dead jumped car now it will not idle or run properly surges.

Hi tayson1972,
When power supply to the ECM is disrupted, it will lose its memory and relearning is necessary to get the systm running properly.
Start the vehicle and let it idlie till operating temp is reached and idling has stabilised. turn AC on and run till idling speed stabilises.
If the above does not work, you need to check the odling system components.
The throttle body and idle controls might need to be cleaned.
Check Mass Air Flow and air hoses for vacumn leakages.
