I have an 1999 Audi A6 1.8 petrol engine code AEB, I am wondering if it is possible to get a diesel engine to fit it?

The 1.9 diesel should bolt up to your transmission. Call the dealer to verify. However your going to have to change alot of things doing a gas-diesel conversion. My opinion is dont do it. If your set on diesel, buy a car that came from the factory with it. Trust me, you will save alot of headaches. Audis are very tempermental.
