2004 Audi A4 6 cyl Automatic 70000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I was driving home today and my feet were so hot it was difficult to drive! When I got home, the back of my rear bumpers were streaked with soot. The very front of the hood was hot but other than that there were no gauges lit or problems with anything else.
Can you help? I cannot afford a big repair bill.
Thank you.

Sounds like a mixture control problem causing the cat converter to be overheated. I would have it looked at immediately before any permanent damage is done to the converter or the engine
