2003 Audi A4 Audi A4 stalling

Hi, Ive started to have problems with my a4. When I accelerate from stopped a position the car jolts forward, turning engine off and restarting normally fixes this, for a while. Also instead of the gearbox d light on the dash lighting up, all gears light up N D P R.
The car has started to stall when going into reverse as well :(
Any help is much appreciated,

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

The first thing to do with any problem like this is get the ECU scanned for any unresolved fault codes, if there are codes present, this will indicate a problem that will need fixing first, start here and report your findings if you need further assistance or advice.
