2002 Audi A4 right Rear Brake Bulb out

The car manual suggests that a dealer replaces the bulb and thus gives no information on the Bulb or how easy it is to replace. Can I buy the bulb at any auto part place. Do you have to remove the red lens cover or can you do it from inside the trunk area?
