My Audi a4 is going through over a quart of oil a week and a gallon of coolant every 2 weeks. The coolant is not getting into the oil and neither fluid is being dumped on the ground anywhere under the vehicle. I did find a small amount of oil coming from the turbocharger area. The turbocharger is still spinning but the acceleration of the car isn't quite what it should be. The engine sounds quiet, no unusual noises. A new timing belt and water pump was put on the car in october 2009. I didn't own the car yet when that repair was made, I found the receipt in the glove box. I took it to a audi repair shop and they said the turbo was going bad and quoted me an astronomical amount to fix it. My husband said he could do it so we ordered the parts, haven't even got them in yet and now the heater is only blowing cold air. The car doesn't over heat or run cold, the temp guage runs right in the middle (maybe slightly on the warmer side). I don't want to just keep ordering parts, but does it sound like my heater core has suddenly gone bad as well as the turbocharger?

I would have a cylinder compression test carried out to check for headgasket failure !
