I left my car headlights overnight and the battery completely died. When I tried to jump start it with another car it would turn on but it wouldnt stay on. I know I need to get a new battery but my question is, can draining out the battery cause more problems such as needing a new distributor and throddle?

If battery is more than 3 yrs. old and you left lights on it is so discharged that alternator may not provide enough to charge and run cars equipment. Replace batt see what happens should be good.
