1996 Audi A4 battery going dead after car sitting 1day

my aud i has a problem, if the car sits for 1 or more days the battery goes dead. i something in the alternator changed but this did not correct the ptoblem. question should the electric windows work with the car off and the doors open. thanks

What you got is a direct short to ground-if its really bad-the car can catch on fire depends where that short is located.

Disconnect the negative battery cable put a test light between the cable and battery negative post-if there's a short the test light will lit-Is it On-if so start removing fuses one at a time -the fuse that turns off the test light is the trouble circuit.
