Smells problem
1998 Audi A4 Engine Size unknown All Wheel Drive Automatic 186000 miles

I have exhaust fumes coming in through the ac and heating vents. There is smoke coming from the tail pipe but only when the car is cold. All signs of smoke disappear when the car hits around 40 mph. However the exhaust fumes do not go away. I cannot sit at a light for too long without my eyes burning. I took the car to an ASE Cert. mechanic for diagnostic and he said the computer reads fine. He saw and smelled the problem but couldn't find what was wrong. Someone help please.
