Hi my Audi A3 2.0 TDi had developed a watr leak at the front right. Slow leak at first (needed topping up once in 10 days) but has now got worse (need to top up every other day). Been told it is probably the water bottle thus meaning that I need to have cambelt replaced, Does this sound right?

Hi there,

Water bottles and cam belts don't quite go together, I would say that they are thinking of the water pump, if the pump ids leaking then it would be a good time to replace the timing belt as I has to come off to replace the pump, just to make sure get a cooling system pressure test and check where this leak is coming from, also let me know the engine code so I can check that the pump is driven by the timing belt on your model.
