Audi 100 Is it dangerous to modify Engine Mountings not for

Audi 100 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 95,000 miles

My mechanic says the engine mountings I bought were not for my Audi100 and said he could modify them. Is this dangerous and would it result in the engine dropping off?

It is not a good idea to start modifying any mounts, get original or approved Aftermarket parts only.
