92 accord APXA automatic transmission rebuild won't roll in neutral or move while in gear. I checked all the thicknesses for the steels and got them in the right clutch baskets. It briefly went into gear for about 2 secs then bond up again. I dont want to have to take the housing off again if theres another solution. What would be binding this up? Any help would be appreciated.

Will the car move in neutral while the engine is off? Do both front wheels rotate while in the air? If so then here i what can be wrong in order of probability.

1. Forward clutch or another clutch pack assembled too tight. Even if the steels are in the correct baskets, clutch clearance still has to be correct.

2. Misassembled one-way clutch/sprag or roller clutch. If a one-way clutch is installed backward, jammed, or not seated correctly, it can lock the geartrain.

3. Manual valve or valve body issue. If the manual valve is not engaged correctly with the shift linkage, or the valve body has a stuck valve, the transmission may not actually be hydraulically in Neutral even though the shifter says Neutral.

It sounds like the transmission needs to come back apart though, sorry. Please let me know what you find.
