Are 1997 ford expedition running boards interchangeable

I have damage done to one of my factory running boards. I noticed some running boards with lights and slightly wider at salvage yard and there for a 1998 ford expedition. Is it interchangeable with 1997 expedition? If so, how would i wire the lights to work? Thanks.

As far as the wiring, there is only one wire. It is the power wire, so it would be easy to wire. However, your running boards don't look factory. The OEM were not fiberglass and it appears that is what you have. Is that correct?

Yes, me wife brought this with these running boards. I assumed they were factory. Sorry. Lastly, are the lights to the running board are to come when any doors opens right?

Yes, the lights should come on when you open a door and when you unlock the doors with the key fob.
