It depends on the parts you have on. The OE will always be your best option but some good alternative I have used is Wagner's ceramic pads. Also, make sure you have shims installed on the pads. Apply grease on the back of the brake pad and install the shim. Grease the contact points of the pads where they sit at the caliper bracket.
Check the rotors for heat spots also. If rotors look blue or purple have them resurfaced and sand down the brake pads. If the noise is from the rear then replace the rear brake pads and resurface the rotors if they are within spec.
