1996 Chrysler Cirrus LX, 2.5L, v6 will stall intermittently while in idle or while driving. Especially at stop signs or red lights. Originally, I had a code for EVAP system. Then Code P1496 (5-volt supply out) and P112 (IAT sensor output low). The EVAP system code went away after sealing a leak in the EGR, and Chrysler tested my PCM and found an internal fault so I replaced the PCM with one programmed for my specific vin ID. I have replaced the MAP sensor, IAT sensor, Crankshaft Position sensor, Fuel Pump and fuel filter, solenoid, EGR valve and tube. Distributer cap, wires, and plugs are only 3 years old, and the car is driven only about 8,000 miles per year. I also, cleaned the throttle and upper intake manifold. Before all of these replacements my car would just lose power and stall, but it would usually restart immediately. Now, although I have no codes present (neither the OBDII scanner, or key turn method shows any), the car is still stalling. BUT, now when it stalls it starts to run very rough first and will not restart immediately. I can hear and feel a rough vibration that seems to be originating from the front passenger side or the car and it sounds like it is missing or lopes erratically while in idle. It is also surging when my foot is not on the accelerator and the RPMs go up and down on their own. The fuel system is in open loop when in idle and closed while driving according to the OBDII scanner. Sometimes, but not always, I can hear what sounds like "bubbles" traveling from the back of the passenger side to the front when I stop and put it park. I have taken it to mechanic shop and their Genesis scan tool showed inconclusive readings for my O2 sensors (the car has 3 O2 sensors). When tested on OBDII scanner, the sensor readings seem fine. Could the problems I am having be caused by faulty O2 sensors? Or should I still be focusing on the emissions and fuel delivery system? Any other ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated. Mechanics around here are baffled.
