I was told that I had antifreeze in my engine oil, how do I know if it's to late to fix the problem? So far it has not given me any problems.

It is difficult to tell if the engine has encounter any problems unless it's making abnormal noises, is the oil completely milky or just under the oil cap? Here is some additional information on the problem.

The oil fill cap doesn't have a milky look, but the engine coolant cap has a greasy gunky look under it. I plan to take it for a second opinion.

Do you know the history of the engine? If there has been a head problem in the recent past, any oil that may have got into the cooling system is near impossible to totally remove and you can get this scum coming to the top of the header tank for quite a long time, get an inspection and an opinion before doing anything, a first hand inspection may show that nothing is amiss, after that, if you require further assistance please re post.
