Without any warning, my car cut out while driving. I've tried to find infromation everywhere and what I have been told is that the anti-theft system/immobilizer is cutting off the fuel pump to prevent vehicle theft. But why is this happening when I never had a problem before, and how can I fix it? The car is a great little oldie, and I need it to keep going!

Hello,

Can I ask if the security light is flashing? Also, can you turn the key on without cranking it over to see if you can hear the fuel pump run for five seconds in the fuel tank? This guide can help as well:

Please run down this guide and report back.
