My truck is a regular cab and needs both door lock cylinders replaced due to someone breaking into it. I cannot lock the vehicle doors upon existing because I will not be able to use the key to unlock them. Are all 2003 f150's equipped with an anti-theft system and key fob? If so, can I use the key fob to lock/unlock the vehicle while leaving the door lock cylinders disengaged? Thank you.

Yes, all trucks are equipped with an anti-theft system which includes a fob. I don't think you need to disconnect the outer dock lock cylinder to have the fob work to lock the doors. Here is how to replace the door locks if you want to fix the problem. Check out the images (below).

Okay, I apologize. I should have mentioned that my door locks are manual. Does this make a difference, if so can I switch to power locks instead of manual?

Switching over to power locks you can do but you will need the wiring harnesses, switches, new door panels and lock actuators, so it would be a job, The lock part should be close to the same so these replacement instructions should work.
