My anti theft siren is sounding as I'm driving my car. The fob locks and unlocks the car as well as set it into panic. The car has a push to start button.

Hello,

There is a security system horn relay that sound like it is stuck. To be sure here is a guide to help you test it with the relay location in the diagrams below (ba horn):

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Thanks, I had already tried this and it still kept ringing. Is there something else I should know? Unplug the battery? Wait a few minutes? Or is it another horn/alarm that is ringing and I'm missing it? I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning unless I can figure it out before my appointment. Can't test it now since I'm home alone with the little kids.

If you pulled the relay and it is still sounding it must be the main horn that is going off. Here is the location please remove it to see if the noise stops. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

I tried pulling that relay out the day it happened, but wouldn't budge and I gave up on that one. However, I did press the horn that day while the alarm rang and I heard an addition horn. I ended up taking it to the dealer and they stated that it was an after market alarm and the tech disabled it. They referred me to an after market shop if I wanted to get it fully functioning again, I guess they won't configure third party equipment even though they sold me the car with it installed. Anyway, the most important thing was that it was "fixed" and free of charge. Thank you for your prompt response and instructions. Will answer any questions if asked.

I am sorry I had no idea it had an aftermarket alarm. Those are typically not very good, I would of had you do the same the tech did. Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.

Good morning,

most recently the alarm has been malfunctioning. The alarm is sounding when the doors are opened, even though the alarm has been dis-armed. The dash lights are dim every time we start this, we have to manually turn up the brightness. The radio cuts out for a second every time we start driving the car, the radio also cuts out when the turn signal is turned on, or when the mirror is adjusted. The radio cuts out for a second at the most. There have also been times when we unlock the door with the remote, the doors will not open, we have to manually insert the key and unlock them. I was thinking maybe a faulty clock spring, however I was not sure if the security system would be tied to this.
Thanks,

Chris

Try a security system reset. See link. clean battery terminal ends and have battery tested for condition including load test most places do for free. if all this fails then have it scanned for codes by a mechanic.

Hi,

Thanks for the information, we did have a new battery installed about two months ago. I thought about taking the car to advanced auto parts and seeing if they plug into the on board computer and would that show anything? There is no check engine lights on at this time.

Thanks

My key fob stopped working. I was able to unlock doors and get in but it would not start. I kept trying and I ended sitting with my door open waiting for someone to bring a new battery for key fob and my anti theft was going off and now I cannot start my car.
