That means that the gears on the spine are likely stripping. You can replace just the mast and spine but there may be more damage than just that.

What other damage could it be?
Also, my left door is not closing properly have to slam to make sure it is closed. Driver side door.

You may have to replace the whole antenna with motor instead of just the spine. You need to start a new question for your door issue.
