Welcome to 2CarPros.

You have a bad blend air door actuator. The blend air door actuator is responsible for the air temp entering the vehicle. Since you hear the ticking, that tells me it is getting power to operate, but one of the plastic gears inside of it has failed and is skipping and not moving the blend air door.

Take a look through this link. It explains how in general one is replaced. but it also discusses common symptoms.

Now, if your problem mirrors what is mentioned in the aforementioned link, I have a question. Your vehicle should have dual climate control. Do you get heat from either the driver's or passenger's side of the vehicle? I ask because there are two actuators, one for each side.

Let me know.
