Ambient temperature is not accurate?

My ambient temperature is showing 12 degrees when it is around 24 degrees. What could be the problem and is this likely to cause issues elsewhere?

Sure, this happens when the ambient air temperature sensor goes out, here is the location so you can swap it out.
