Alternator will not charge both are brand new

I found you a diagram in "Prodemand".

It is for your 2.2 liter as well as for a 4.3 liter. (It should be easy to see what info goes with what).

Check your fuses, sizes and locations are shown.

The other main thing often unseen or not known about is the "fusible link(s)", I only see one in your diagram. It's the fat black thingee in the diagram.

They are basically "wire" fuses on a wire. Last line of defense for shorts/ overloads.

Test on either side of the fusible link for voltage. Sometimes it's obvious that it fried, sometimes you can pull on the insulation and it will stretch out like a rubber band if the wire inside disintegrated.

Always replace a fusible link with the exact same animal that was in there originally (that info is in the diagram below)
