When replacing the alternator, do I change it from the top or the bottom?

I'm trying to change out he alternator Not sure if it changes out from the top or bottom. I'm trying not to open up the A/C system. Any help would be appreciated.

I found the instructions on how to replace the alternator and it does say you need to remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts, but you can leave the lines connected. Make sure the battery is disconnected. Check out the images below to see how the job is done. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Sorry, you remove the alternator from the bottom.
