Alternator problem

On June first, I put an alternator into my car. It is a DOHC. On June 25, I had to put another alternator in. Then on the twenty seventh I again needed to be boosted. The alternators do not put out more than 12.5 to 13 volts when placed on the diagnostic machine. Nothing else shows up as faulty.

What can be causing this problem?

Hello I am Danny.

That does not sound good! A few questions. Are you having a re-manufactured or new alternator installed? Have you also had the battery load tested? The specifications for your vehicle are as follows. Having an alternator load tested on vehicle should produce 58amps at 2000rpm. Have a no load test(all accessories off) should produce 13-15 volts. Your comment states only getting 12.5-13 is way too low. Is the correct alternator being installed?
