So, I have the vehicle listed above Coupe and I’m having an issue where when driving my battery is not getting charged by my alternator even though my alternator is not faulty and getting power at all connections, it’s like my alternator is getting power but not putting any out.

Hi,

How was the alternator tested? Did you remove it and have it bench tested?

I attached the wiring schematic below of the charging system. I highlighted fusible links and a fuse. Have they all been checked?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

The alternator was removed, and bench tested, I have tried two different alternators brand new (non-refurbished) and a used OEM one. I will get back with you on the fuse links.

Hi,

Sounds like a plan. I wanted to make sure it was bench tested. If it is good, then the issue is in the vehicle. I suspect we have a faulty fusible link.

Let me know.

Joe

I took a look at the fusible links it does not seem like they are broken in any way at all.

Hey Joe, I’ve replaced the fusible links but that did not help, the alternator connector is getting power on all 3 wires, the ground is good, I'm just stumped at what this could be. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Okay. We need to test one thing at a time. Start with the B terminal on the alternator. See pic 1 below.

The remaining pics are the diagnostic procedure to test the B terminal. The B terminal is the circuit that sends power to the battery.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
