alternator belt installation issue?

my car will shut off even if I just had it on charger, so I went underneath hood and realized there was no alternator belt. I can't get it on for nothing, is there some trick to this?

Yes, you must loosen the idler pulley to replace the alternator belt, please check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
