having problems with my alternator. why am i not getting current on my green wire with red stripe when i turn on the key switch? This should stay hot when switch is on and dead when switch is off.

check fuse 126 in under hood fuse box may be blown causing the problem. if it does not get activated it will not charge and light will stay on.
