You can not jump a OBD2 connector to retrieve trouble codes. You need a scanner from www. Eautoelectronics. Com there are only 69.95 and you can use it to clear codes also.

My question is I got a trouble code of p1406 from my 1995 chevy blazer(92,000 miles). I looked up the code and it said dpfe downstream hose disconnected or clogged. What is dpfe and where exactly downstream is this hose? Any replies will be helpful. Thank you.
