G'Day all,

I am starting to see a lot more questions regarding the owner wanting to re charging A/C's, now here in Aust it is illegal to go with in cooee of an A/C system if you don't have a wall full of certificates and a masters degree in refrigerant systems, well not that much really, but you get the picture, You certainly can't do home re charges as these were banned years ago.... there are quite strict requirement set down for the handling of refrigerant gasses, what is the position there, can the bloke in the street go play A/C techs, armed with bottles of gas and no understanding to what they can do to them selfs if they open a charged line in there face? whats the go over there?

Mark in Aus.....

They tried to make it a requirement that you can not buy refrigerant with out a license but big chain part stores and others stood against it and won
so any one can go and buy it here in the states and play an AC master tech and 10 pounds later
opsssssssssss we have a leak
