I have a 99 Eclipse with 111,500 miles on it. In the last few months, it has started to make a grinding sound while i am turning and it seems to make steering a bit more difficult. It's not making the usual CV popping sound. I have been thinking about changing out the strut. Would a bad strut cause that sort of problem?

A strut wouldnt and doesnt interfere with the steering of the car, it sounds like a power sterring problem.
