98 Ranger XLT Extended cab, Manual Transmission, LOTS OF MILES (205,000). Great shape except I recently had a problem start with the clutch.

On 2 occasions, one while parked and one on the road, the clutch pedal started acting up. I am trying to figure out if it requires a clutch replacement, clutch master cylinder replacement, or a clutch pedal/piston replacement.

What has happened is that sometimes, the clutch pedal will go all the way to the floor like its not connected to anything. On other occasion it wouldn't go in at all. In both cases, if I let it sit, it would correct itself. Any guidance or direction?
