I have a 1996 Eddie Bauer Explorer AWD. Yesterday I hit a hard clump of snow/ice at about 30 mph, since then the wheel makes noise, more noise the faster I go till about 55 then I don't notice it so much. Would this be a wheel bearing or a CV Shaft???
Please help

if it did not make any noise until you hit the hard snow, i would check to see if there is anything bent. you could have bent the backing plate on the wheel that would make some noise as it rubs against the rotor.
