I have a 1993 Tempo GL with a 2.3 and it's idling too fast and I have really no clue of how to fix it. I've tried everything I know. Even other mechanics have checked it out and we don't know how to fix this. The only way to get it to idle down is if we pinch the air bipass hose off, but the air bipass valve shows it's okay. If you know of anything it could be, please let me know!

The check engine light was on, I put a code reader on, and I changed the EGR Position Sensor, and the light went off, but it's still idling too fast and it shows that everything else is okay now.

Before. After I changed the sensor, the idle went down a small amount, but it is still too fast.
