Not sure what this problem is, but would like any suggestions - I fueled the car on Tuesday, drove it Wed, Thrs and Fri. On Friday night, I drove about 30 miles and turned it off for about 1hr. It sounds like it does when you crank your car and start driving immediately when it's cold, which is usually does this for 1-2 miles when it's cold outside. After driving 10-20 miles, this did not go away. And only does this when you are pressing the gas pedal. Also, the RPM range from 2000-2500 (normal) when accelerating and driving on the highway.
Could it be an air or fuel filter? Other suggestions?

do you mean like a bunch of air being moved by a fan? Most clutch fans will be engauged cold until the dampining(sp) fluid warms up. Then when it gets realy warm from a hot radiator, it re-engauges. And when a fan clutch goes bad it stays engauged all the time. And your fuel millage goes SUCK.

I had the computer put on the Envoy on Saturaday at Auto Zone and that's exactly was is causing the problem - clutch fan. The bad news is the part to replace it costs $300.

Thanks again palco!
