Hi, I own a 2001 Grand Prix who's windshield wipers and blinkers don't always work. One moment they'll be working just fine and the next not at all. To get them to operate again I have to play around with some wires under the dashboard.

Obviously this isn't very safe to be doing while I'm driving, but I have no choice. I live in Seattle and I'll be driving 60mph in the rain when my wipers would just turn off.

Any help would be appreciated. I don't even know the name of the part that the wires plug into, which I was told by a friend could be the problem.

no, it's not that switch/lever on the left hand side of the steering wheel. it's the piece the wires plug into on the other end. what is that piece called?
