2000 Questions for all other cars 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 61k miles

Hi there i own a Tata safari 4x4 when i drive the car in 2 wheel drive the car seems to drive fine but if i switch the car in to 4 wheel drive i get a nasty sound it feels like its somthing around where my feet are under the car didnt know if you had any ideas what it might be ?

Hi there.

If the noise is only there in 4X4 check the front drive shaft universals, any splash plates that my be bent and touching the shaft and the transfer box for excessive noise and oil leaks. If the noise is under your feet I would start there.
