2000 Questions for all other cars 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I ran my 2000 Suzuki Esteem out of gas, after putting more gas in it, the engine would noot turn over, it still just sounds as if it needs gas. What could be wrong?

if it still seems like it's out of gas, check the fuel pressure. You may have made the fuel pump lock up as there was not gas to cool it.
