2000 Ssangyong Musso 320 EL: Car was overheating. Coolant/water escaped out of extension bottle. Flushed system...brown sludge in water. Water now very clean. Inspected radiator cap on bottle. Little spring inside cap is getting stuck. Is the cap the problem that the water is pushing out? No bubbles or oil in water.

Hi there,

If the pressure cap is faulty you may loose coolant, have it pressure tested or just fit a new cap as they are not expensive.
