Check Engine light is on and the Local AutoZone pulled the code and said it was labeled as a Low EGR Flow. Do I need to replace the EGR valve or is there another alternative. The van runs fine 99% of the time. Occasionally on the first start of a cold day it will start with a miss and will stall everytime we take our foot off the gas.

You can try what works on most Fords...remove the egr, clean the passage out all the way to the throttle plate. Get the codes reset and light shut off.
If it comes back on the egr position sensor should be replaced. If you have a vacuum tester check the egr valve!
