Replace all of the fuses, sometimes the ones that look good are bad (or use a tester)
Since I'm not a "pro", I can't say for sure with your vehicle - but some cars have wiring with fuses built right into the line (not a glass/plastic type) and it burns out to protect the electrical system down the line from it.
You might want to look into that as well - if one or more of them burned up you'll need to hunt it down.
Make sure the cables are clean (probably scorched from the reverse hookup and sparking) - you can use a small wire brush to clean them up or a battery tool.
Notice if you get a small spark when you hook the battery up? You should if there is anything that is powered by the battery.
Have the battery tested - it may have power but not enough to actually run anything.
I actually thought it was almost impossible to do such a thing (credit your roommate) because the positive and negative leads that hook up to the battery normally will only hook up one way (to prevent this from happening). (At least on any battery I've ever used)
