What is the instrument light on the dash that says, "ABS" for? What are the most likely causes if this light staying on even when the engine not running and the key out.

The ABS is the anti locking brake malfunction indicator if it stays on while vehicle is running.

With engine off and the indicator light is showing means there is an electrical fault somewhere. Could be a bad ground wire somewhere, did you happen to reverse install the battery?

It could be a faulty ABS control unit that is shorting and this would result in battery drain.
